Elon Musk has asked bitcoin miners to be open about their energy use.

 

Elon Musk has urged major Bitcoin miners to be open about their energy consumption. Musk said in a tweet that he had spoken with Bitcoin miners in North America and asked them to publish a study on green energy use and that he would invite other mining companies to do the same.

This comes just 12 days after he revealed that Tesla would no longer allow Bitcoin as a payment method for its vehicles. Over the weekend, Musk made a series of statements about cryptocurrency, stating that he prefers crypto to fiat.

When asked what he felt about people who were upset with him because of his crypto tweets, he replied, "The true conflict is between fiat and cryptocurrency. Overall, I lean toward the latter."

On Monday, he also had a few other crypto-related messages. After Cointelegraph published an article about Buterin's response to Musk's tweets about Dogecoin scalability, one even said that Vitalik Buterin is afraid of Dogecoin. Buterin previously stated that the proposal to scale Dogecoin 10x was faulty.
